COVID-19 Action Plan

Well, another day has come and gone and we feel thankful to have been able to deliver meals to our beloved clients.

COVID-19 is upon us, affecting our lives…the uncertainty is creating stress and anxiety for all of us. Fortunately, we have a great team of Board Members providing support and expertise, and our friends from RWJ Barnabas Health continue to provide quality meals for our clients through their Food and Nutrition Department. We have made adaptations in the meal delivery process to protect both volunteers and clients. We practice social distancing and germ control while not losing touch with one another. We are providing uninterrupted service and are prepared for any changes that may be called for in the future.

Our Action Plan:

Mobile Meals will deliver two days every week, Mondays and Wednesdays. Clients will receive 2 hot meals on Mondays and 2 hot meals on Wednesdays. No meals will be delivered on Fridays. Clients will receive a total of 4 hot meals each week.

Special dietary needs such as no fish, no red meat, etc. will be met, but no meal choices can be processed at this time.

No snacks will accompany hot meals until we are able to resume normal meal operations.

We request additional meals be placed in your refrigerator immediately. To reheat in microwave, use 50% power with lid loosened.

Volunteers will continue to place food bags at client's door. This procedure will continue until further notice. During these times, please either mail or tape your payment to your door for pick-up.

Please stay safe and follow the CDC guidelines for hand washing, keeping your hands away from your face, and social distancing.
